Following the intimate socialization prior to and throughout dinner, Lieutenant Colonel Thomas E. Burke; Commander, 3-101 Aviation Regiment arriving from Fort Campbell, presented a brief keynote address entitled ‘Soldiers for Life.’  He stressed that soldier attributes of strength, courage, commitment, and a duty of service shape our world for lasting peace.  While many service men and women do not consider themselves heroes, their service and sacrifices can only be honored.  Their skills and leadership throughout and following their service provide a foundation for success whether in the military or in our businesses and communities.  There is a long history of support in our country, and it requires a team approach.  It was a valued evening providing a welcomed opportunity to personally express gratitude and reflect and consider what each of us can do to support our veterans and honor their service.
